Sam didn’t need blood yesterday. All counts are still good:

ANC 1420
Red 9.3
Platelets 240

We did a urinalysis and will get back VMA and HVA in a couple of days. I don’t know if it’s too much too hope for that the Nifurtimox might already have some effect on that but I’m hoping they are down.
We hung out at the hospital with Charlie until we got the results and then came home to Andy.. We saw our buddy Riley at the hospital and his wonderful mother, Laurie, who always inspires me to be a better person. Riley looked great, he has AML and is recovering from a donor transplant and has had a long hard road. He’s always in a great mood when I see him. It’s funny to me how boys can always relate with video games. Sam and Riley were being a bit shy and I said “So Riley, what have you been playing on your Gameboy lately?” He went into great detail about the new Star Wars II game on his Gamecube and how cool it is. Sammy tugged on my sleeve and said, “Hey Mom, remember Daddy said he would get me a new video game last night when I did the pokey.” That cracked me up because between all the yelling and screaming going on he still remembered the bribe. Guess who played his new Star Wars II game last night after his homework?
He is at school today and so far so good. Andy has school today too and Lisa will him up if I can’t make it between the Vitamin C guy and radiation. Thank you again Lisa. Andy’s favorite song at school is Animal Action where he gets to act out animals. He told me yesterday that it comes on DVD so I’ll ask the teachers about it today. Andy is such a musical kid. He loves to sing at the top of his lungs. And, unlike me as a kid, he can actually carry a tune.
Charlie was up last night at 3am ready to party but now that he’s smiley guy, it’s impossible to get annoyed with him.
