Sam would have been thirteen today.  He would have gotten such a kick out of being 13 on the 13th of 2013.  I can’t help but imagine him on his skateboard a lot.  I was at the Monacos house a few weeks ago and his friends Joe and Blake asked if they could ride their skateboards to Mr. Frosty’s and it took my breath away how old they are getting.

We love you Sam and miss you so.  We celebrated at the park this morning with a big group of friends.  The kids played football and kickball and we had an awesome water balloon fight and let 13 balloons go in your honor.

Sam would be so overjoyed to be a teen ager. Neil, he would asking you for the car keys. He loved his cars and trucks.
Deeply miss you, Sammy. I love the picture of you that Mom posted. It really captures your big personality with that huge grin of happiness. What a cutie! You will always be in my heart. I love you, Sam.

Dear, Margot. Thank you very much to shear the story of Sam. We never met, but our family followed your steps in treatment in Sloan in 2011-2012. I have to tell you, that reading your blog and meet Sam, helped us a lot. When doctors said that it is time to go home, I was reading yours stories non stop. It gave me some straight to move forward and meet the future. We lost our son in April 2012 and any time I need support I go and read about Sammy. Thank you to shear you beautiful boy and his story with us. Thank you again.
    Natalie, mom of Adam.

I haven’t been on here in awhile to read updates on your family, but I think of you guys and Sam often! I love that his 13th birthday would have been on the 13th of 2013. Coincidence? I think not! I bet he is skating up and down the golden streets of Heaven! Thanks for continuing to post updates for all of those your family has touched!
