Sam started his 1st round of chemo last night; he was sleeping when the team arrived dressed in spacesuits and full masked hoods with his treatment bags. 16 hours later Sam was…riding a bicycle! A few days of holding down food made him much stronger. His IV tree, affectionately named “Harry” goes everywhere with him and in true Sammy fashion, he was riding Harry like a skateboard. Now that the treatment has started, a note has been placed on his door reminding visitors to wash their hands and to stay clear if sick at all.
