Just a quick update today to say that we still don’t have the VMA/HVA back from the urine test. I’m hoping it’ll come today and we won’t have to wait the weekend. Neil is coming home today at 12:45 and the boys are I will go pick him up at the airport. He had a great meeting with Dr. Cheung yesterday and was really impressed with him and MSKCC in general. Dr. Cheung make a very strong case for doing the antibody therapy sooner rather than later was very hopeful in terms of the possibility of a complete response – which will leave us with a big decision to make if the catechols are up and the new scan shows no improvement or new growth. We’ve sent some questions about fenretinide to Dr. Villablanca and received the results of the Phase 1 fenretinide trail from Dr. Maris (who is so great at responding immediately). As soon as we have any more news we’ll post it.
The boys are doing fine – both excited for Daddy to come home and for the ice-cream cake we’ll have for his birthday ;-). Thanks to all for thoughts and prayers.
