I just downloaded Macromedia Contribute and figured out how to update this also so beware!
It’s been a great few days for Sam – any jailbreak from the hospital is a winner and when his daily GSCF shots ended, as they did Saturday, he’s a very happy boy. ALL of the kids in the hospital hate the ‘pokies’.
Me? I’m scared to death still. I hate to admit it. He’s doing so well but the chemo has had an effect on him – he’s a bit more tired than usual and doesn’t eat like he would like to since his digestive system is still recovering. But Sam has just a huge will to enjoy life and when he’s outside playing with his friend Mimi, his smile lights up my world.
I love that boy with all my heart and just want to hold him in my lap all day long.
I am so thankful for all of the support we have received from everyone and everywhere. Chemo Round #5 starts this week, probably Wed or Thurs, and I just hope it goes as well as Round #3 where we stayed out of the hospital for 2 weeks which seemed like an eternity.
Andy is running around impersonating the monsters “gnashing their terrible teeth” which he learned while watching the DVD of “Where The Wild Things Are”. It’s pretty hilarious to see him stomp around. Andy is not camera-shy or shy in any sense of the word.
My mom is here and the extra pair of hands will be a huge help when we are back in the hospital.
I wish I had more to say. I wish I could cure him today and make this all go away but we just need to continue to take it one day at a time and love him with all of our heart and pray & hope and pray & hope some more.
